Affinity spaces
The Global Majority Sanctuary
This is a sanctuary for our beautiful siblings of the Global Majority.
A sacred space for rest, decompression, laughter, tears, joy, pain, love and cups of herbal tea.
Open to all folks that self identify as part of the Global Majority, BIPOC, Asylum seekers, Migrants and refugees, this sanctuary will be a space to try and meet some of your needs for a safer space.
During the daytime there will be a volunteer in the space with a sporadic program, including daily heart circles. In between this is a space to get to know your Global Queer family.
Children and Young People’s Space (CYP)
The Children and Young People’s Space is running an exciting programme of games, crafts and workshops, suitable for parents and kids.
Come along at 6 pm on Thursday to meet and greet the team, connect with others, and co-create the space.
There will be a range of activities running including arts and crafts, movement, kickboxing, board games, face painting, chill zone, workshops, sports, zine making and some fidget toys.
The space will be open between 10 am and 8 pm, and the workshops will be posted and updated at the CYP area. We are looking forward to seeing you there!
Women's space
The Women’s Space is woven into the Queer Spirit ethos through our workshop offerings, rooted in embodied presence and conscious connection to self, the wider community and nature.
We are offering eight workshops encompassing music, embodiment, movement, Tai Ji, creativity, presence, fun, joy, laughter, conscious connection and consensual platonic touch.
We also provide a drop in/hang out space between workshops, a warm and welcoming space for anyone who identifies as a woman.
The TNBI (Trans, Non-Binary and Intersex) Space
At Queer Spirit 2026 TNBI people will be represented across the entire festival, from a dedicated TNBI space and camping area to workshops, performances and collaborations woven throughout the programme.
The TNBI Dome will host workshops specifically for the TNBI community, and in the quiet moments when no sessions are taking place the dome will be a welcoming social space.
The workshops will centre around TNBI wellbeing, community-building and activism, creating space for reflection, learning and shared experience.
