Deborah Maw is a spiritual astrologer, teacher, artist, nomadic grandmother and founder of SoulStar. Fascinated by the relationship between the cosmos and human consciousness, she explores astrology not as prediction, but as a living map of meaning, growth and evolution.

What happens when we stop talking about astrology and start becoming it? In this playful and interactive workshop, we’ll bring the planets to life through movement, improvisation, simple role-play and a little dressing up. No astrology knowledge is needed—just a willingness to be curious, creative and have fun. Drawing on the principles of play, storytelling and embodied learning, participants will step into the roles of different planetary archetypes and discover how they interact, collaborate, challenge and transform one another.  

Part astro-drama, part constellation work, part cosmic game, this workshop invites us to learn through experience rather than theory. Come and play with the planets. You may discover that they have been playing through you all along.

A workshop investigating our concept of a western astrological planet of our choosing within the socio-historical contexts it has emerged from.

We will collectively map out what we know about the planet, formulating an understanding of how this relates to power structures in society, and experimenting with new forms of the planetary energy by recontextualising this within our own queerness.

Using this new lens to explore alternate stories in our charts developing a queerer relationship to the cosmos.

What if the planets were not only celestial bodies, but living forces within us? In The Kingdom Within, we will explore the ancient relationship between the planetary powers, the energetic body, and the Tree of Life, mapping these archetypal forces onto our inner landscape.

Through an experiential journey of embodiment, we will investigate how planetary energies express themselves through specific organs, physiological processes, emotional patterns, and states of consciousness, revealing the body as a living cosmos.

The workshop will include guided meditation, visualization, vibrational practices, movement, and somatic bodywork, offering both conceptual understanding and direct embodied experience.

In this talk, Deborah explores the SoulStar Portal as a living invitation to consciously evolve. Drawing together astrology, myth, science, spirituality and lived experience, she traces the deeper story unfolding beneath today’s rapid social, technological and cultural transformations. 

As Pluto moves through Aquarius and Uranus through Gemini, long-held assumptions about identity, gender, community and what it means to be human are being reimagined.
