Astrology Temple
The Astrology Temple is a space where astrology becomes conversation, play, and embodiment rather than theory. Alone, charts can feel abstract, but when people move, speak, and feel their planets, something deeper wakes up.
Together we will explore the sky through astro-drama, story, and shared reflection. Participants might step into the voice of their Moon, argue as Mars, or listen as Saturn—learning through experience rather than explanation. Alongside these playful explorations, the temple will also be a quiet hearth. Cushions, tea, and gentle conversation create a place where people can ask questions, compare charts, and discover different traditions of astrology, weaving tropical, sidereal, psychological, and mythic perspectives.
Within the wider spirit of Queer Spirit Festival, the Astrology Temple also becomes a place of remembering. Across many pre-colonial cultures, celestial knowledge was woven deeply into spiritual life. Here we reconnect with that lineage, reclaiming astrology as part of a broader queer spiritual heritage—a symbolic language that can illuminate our patterns, potentials, and relationships with the wider cosmos.
At certain times we will gather to share the bigger cosmic story of our moment, exploring the larger planetary cycles shaping this era and how they echo through our individual lives. Through conversation, embodiment, and shared curiosity, the temple becomes more than a place to learn astrology—it becomes a space where we remember ourselves as part of a living cosmos, each of us carrying a star.

Here! Queer! Cosmic!

The Two-Spirits of Native American tribes are today reclaiming their roles as healers, ritual workers, spirit channels and are an example for queers from every culture.

Within this context it can be hard, or even unsafe, to know, acknowledge, and articulate our own truths.
In a carefully held space, we will be invited to share how we have been hurt by shame.
We will share strategies to unlearn and overcome the ways we have been silenced, finding safe ways to share our experiences and say what we need to say.

The Fun Hum!

Starting with sounds that relate to the sacred centres of our body, feeling the physical vibrations of those sounds, listening and sharing sounds with others, we gently relax into a free flow of voice and harmony.
We may lay or sit, with the choice to be in contact with others physically or not.
Humming, toning and expressing ourselves vocally without words allows a unique harmony and can be a lot of fun!

The Mother Goddess and Me - Queer Spirit and the Sacred Mother Archetype
We bring our critical, inclusive, pagan, queer, and loving activism to the myth-space to address 'mother' as an idea, an ideal, a lived reality and a falsity through shared words, and acts of mutual spiritual recognition.
We consider these myths as self-fulfilling prophecies, as aspirational goals, as forms of representation and, in some cases, as impossibilities.
But most of all we aim to explore these myths, fables and archetypes from an insider/outsider perspective in relation to the reclamation of the relationship with the Mother Goddess through Queer spirituality.

Together we will co-create a shared community body map, with optional, consent-based word placement.

The Queerness of Magic, the Magic of Queerness

Many magical and pagan traditions were not built to be LGBTQ+ focussed, yet magic itself has always had a queer nature. In this class, we will explore queer deities across history and the ancestors - chosen, communal, spiritual, and mythic - who stand with us beyond bloodlines.
Together, we'll honor the power that rises from living outside, between, or across layers of identity, orientation, and experience. We'll look at both queered magic and the act of queering existing practices, connecting with specifically queer practices, and shaping rituals that reflect and celebrate those who walk these paths.
This class is open to anyone drawn to learn more about these topics, share their own personal experiences, be around peers, or become an ally through looking at the expansive nature of magic beyond boundaries.
